Jets Sign Former Dolphins DE Jason Taylor
Jason Taylor will be a member of the New York Jets next season.
The former Miami Dolphins signed a two-year, $13.75 million contract according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In actuality the deal is closer to $3.75 million.
The majority of the contract is probably incentive based, which Taylor may not hit.
Taylor will likely be used primarily in pass rush situations. At 35-years-old it’s hard to fathom him playing much more beyond that.
The south Florida fan-favorite held out as long as he could before leaving Miami. The Dolphins were always his first choice, but that team decided to move on without him.
