Lakers Coach Phil Jackson Fined $35,000 For Comments About Officiating
Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson got an even worse going away present than he expected at the end of his coaching career.
Jackson and his Lakers were swept by the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday after losing 122-86 ending the Lakers season and most likely Jackson’s career. But Jackson won’t go away without losing some cash too.
Jackson was fined $35,000 for public comments about the officiating during the Mavericks series. NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations Stu Jackson announced it on Sunday during the Jackson’s final game
Jackson made his comments yesterday during the Lakers’ off day media availability.
