Lions QB Shaun Hill Suffers Broken Forearm

Detroit Lions quarterback Shaun Hill suffered a broken left forearm in Sunday’s 28-20 loss to the New York Giants.

Hill sustained the fracture late in the second quarter, when he was hit at the knees after a pass attempt. He was replaced by Drew Stanton, who continued to take the snaps at the start of the second half.

Hill, who had started in place of the injured Matthew Stafford, returned to the field in the third quarter out of his uniform and wearing a sling.

“It’s part of the game, it is frustrating,” Hill said. “We’ll keep our spirits up and this team is going to keep battling. We’re going into the bye, we’re going to get Matthew back, and the other guys that have been playing hurt are going to get healthy and we’re going to try to make a run at this thing.”
