Miami Dolphins Going After Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin

Is a diva wide receiver worth the headache?

That was the question recently posed to Dolphins offensive coordinator Dan Henning.

“He’s got to be an alpha and he’s got to be a game-changer,” said Henning, who went on to explain the delicate balance that must be struck to accommodate an arrogant and/or preening superstar. “(Because he) can suck the energy out of a team.”

Hardly do the Dolphins have that sort of problem.

Not only do they not have a diva wide receiver, they don’t even have a star at the position.

Henning himself called his receivers a “Rodney Dangerfield” group that gets no respect. That might be because neither Davone Bess nor Greg Camarillo, the best of Miami’s bunch, was drafted. Or it might be because the Dolphins rank near the bottom of the league in passing yards per game and per play.
