Miami Heat’s Big 3 Open With Strong Win Against The Pistons 105-89

The Miami Heat’s Big Three came out with a bang in their preseason home opener. The newest acquisitions, LeBron James and Chris Bosh combined for 38 points in the 105-89 win over the Detroit Pistons. Their debut was cut short due to a hamstring pull suffered by Dwyane Wade three minutes into the game. Wade finished with two points.

Bosh had 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting and James, the NBA’s two-time reigning MVP, added 18, and the Heat weren’t challenged after running out to a 20-point lead by halftime.

Heat forward Udonis Haslem came off the bench and added 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The Pistons were led in scoring by former Chicago Bulls guard Ben Gordon with 17 points off the bench and the much anticipated debut of former all-star guard Tracy McGrady was complete disaster.

McGrady played eight minutes and finished with eight rebounds, one block and 0 points. Defensively, McGrady was being used and abused after drawing the tough assignment of having to guard LeBron James.

Looks like the Big 3 are well on their way to being a huge success in Miami.
