Michigan QB Denard Robinson Tops USA Today’s Heisman Watch List
After receiving no votes in the preseason, Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is a near-unanimous choice in the first regular season Heisman Watch.
Robinson has been the dominant offensive force as the Wolverines have started 5-0. He leads the nation in rushing at 181 yards per game and thrown for 1,008 yards and seven scores. The sophomore received nine of 10 first-place votes from USA TODAY writers and editors and has a total of 49 of 50 possible points.
The next closest challenger is Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore, who has thrown for 1,069 and 11 touchdowns in leading the unbeaten Broncos to notable wins against Virginia Tech and Oregon State. He has 28 total points.
