Michigan QB Tate Forcier Officially Transferring To Miami
This past weekend, I wrote a story about Michigan Wolverines quarterback Tate Forcier eyeing Miami as a possible place to transfer and today, he made it official.
Forcier started his freshman year at Michigan passing for 2,050 yards and 13 touchdowns earning him CollegeFootballNews.com Freshman All-America honorable mention and Sporting News Freshman All-Big Ten honors.
Fellow Michigan sophomore quarterback Denard Robinson ultimately won the position, fitting perfectly into the offense that former Wolverines head coach Rich Rodriguez ran.
Due to transfer rules, Forcier will have to sit out the 2011 season and will be available for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
Currently Miami has sophomore Stephen Morris and seniors Jacory Harris and Spencer Whipple on the roster, which means Forcier will have an open opportunity to take the starting job in 2012.
