National Signing Day In Broward County Is The Best!!!

With Miami-Dade County in a close second for me, I believe Broward County has the most signed scholarship football players in the state of Florida and also the best class in the Florida. Miami-Dade I know is up there as well, but I think Broward got it this year.

Broward County had 112 football players sign scholarships on Signing Day including 50 FBS (Division I-A) scholarships.

I also believe that Broward had the highest number of any county in the country, if there is one higher, please email me a county better.

Here are some picture of the Broward County players signing their LOI’s (Letter OF Intent):

Deerfield Beach Bucks QB Denard Robinson here playing a joke on the people in attendence wearing a Florida Gators hat.

Robinson then took off the Gators hat and put on a Michigan one and signed with Wolverines.

Ely cornerback Michael Carter who had been committed to West Virginia, woke up signing day and said his heart was with the University of Minnesota. Hence the big M on his maroon colored hat and him signing to play for the Golden Gophers. Not to mention, cousin and two-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Tyrone Carter, went to Minnesota by way of Ely High School as well. You think Tyrone had something to do with this decision???

Cypress Bay teammates linebacker Shane Gordon and running back Jason Douglas will also be teammates in college both signing with the Pittsburgh Panthers.

St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver Duron Carter (on the left) signed with Ohio State, where father legendary NFL wide receiver Cris Carter, pictured on the right went to school. Pictured in the middle is St. Thomas cornerback Dezmen Southward who signed with Wisconsin.

St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver Dwayne Difton throws up a C for the school he signed with and that would be the Connecticut Huskies.

St. Thomas Aquinas offensive tackle Jordan Cowart signing with Notre Dame.

American Heritage offensive tackle Jared Wheeler signing with the University of Miami.
