Lance Stephenson, the top basketball recruit left in the 2009 class, has given a verbal commitment to the University of Cincinnati, Lincoln High (Brooklyn, N.Y.) coach Dwayne Morton confirmed Tuesday.

The 6-6 guard led Lincoln to four city titles and averaged 31 points and eight rebounds last season. He is one of two defendants in a sexual-assault case that has been pushed back to July 15.
