NFL Rejects Vikings WR Percy Harvin’s Contract

Minnesota Vikings top draft pick Percy Harvin’s contract has been rejected by the NFL.
The violation relates to the way a team and agent structure the money of a deal, or language that violates the (CBA) collective bargaining agreement.
Harvin’s contract signed contract that was worth up to $14.5 million, including about $8.5 million in guarantees.
Harvin, the 22nd pick in the NFL draft, was able to secure more guaranteed money than the player selected in the 21st spot, center Alex Mack of the Cleveland Browns and last year’s 22nd overall pick, Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones, who got $7.6 million in guarantees.
The Vikings’ vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski and Harvin’s agent, Joel Segal, will have time to work out a new contract, meanwhile Harvin will continue to practice.
