Oregon RB LeGarrette Blount Reinstated By Team, Pac-10

The head coach, the athletic director, the University of Oregon president and the Pac 10 Conference commissioner have all agreed to reinstate LeGarrette Blount.  The University of Oregon running back was suspended after he hit a Boise State University player after the Ducks’ season-opening loss in Boise.

Oregon Coach Chip Kelly says Blount will be available to play Saturday night when the University of Oregon plays Arizona State Saturday night at Autzen Stadium.

Blount was originally suspended for the entire football season, but Kelly announced that Blount could be reinstated if he met certain conditions.

“I’m grateful to Coach Kelly that he cares enough to offer me this second chance,” Blount said. “Now it is up to me to prove to people that their lasting impressions of me are not what they saw in Boise.  I just want to help my teammates who have been supportive of me.”

I love this decision and I'm happy the school is giving him a second chance.
