Packers LT Chad Clifton Returns To Practice

If Mark Tauscher isn’t going to provide immediate help for the Green Bay Packers offensive line, perhaps Chad Clifton will.
Clifton, the veteran left tackle, practiced Monday for the first time since he sprained an ankle in the Week 2 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and appears to be on track to return for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.
The Packers didn’t have to release a practice report on Monday, but Clifton was in pads and appeared to be a full participant, at least in the portion of practice that was open to the media.
Coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t ready to name Clifton as the starter for Sunday just yet.
