Panthers QB Matt Moore Suffers A Concussion Against The Giants
According to Darin Gantt of the , Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore left Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with a concussion sustained on a hit he took from his blindside
Moore, who was sacked four times and threw three interceptions, doubled over on the field after being sacked late in the fourth quarter by Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora. He was helped to the bench, in obvious discomfort.
Rookie Jimmy Clausen finished the game. “It’s tough,” left tackle Jordan Gross said. “When a left tackle gets beat, bad things happen.”
If Moore isn’t healthy, Clausen will get the start next week in the home opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
