Panthers Sign Former Chiefs RB Dantrell Savage
The Carolina Panthers reported Monday afternoon that running back Dantrell Savage has signed with the team.
Savage was released by the Kansas City Chiefs on March 3, 2010. The running back signed with the Chiefs in 2008 as an undrafted rookie out of Oklahoma State.
In 13 games as a member of the special teams unit, Savage racked up 793 yards on 34 kickoff returns and 53 yards on 14 punt returns. Offensively, he recorded only 25 carries and made nine interceptions in two seasons with Kansas City.
