Patriots LB Junior Seau Signs To Play For $1.1 Million

New England Patriots linebacker Junior Seau has signed a one-year deal for a salary of $1.145 million.

If you’re curious, that’s higher than the veteran minimum of $845,00. That’s for a player with 10 years or more of experience.

Seau did not receive a signing bonus, but it’s not clear yet if there are other incentives or escalators.

Assuming that salary is based on 16 games, we need to do some math. Now armed with my calculator, we see that if Seau plays in 11 games, he’ll earn $787,187.50.
