QB Cutler To The Bears For QB Orton and Three Draft Picks

Well people the Jay Cutler saga is now over. The Chicago Bears finally have a Pro Bowl quarterback.
The Denver Broncos traded quarterback Jay Cutler and a 5th round pick to the Chicago Bears for two first round picks, 2009 and 2010, a third round pick this year and quarterback Kyle Orton.
Let’s look at the two teams involved here:
Chicago Bears:
The Bears now have a franchise quarterback, something they have never had. They have a nice young running back, an up and coming receiving corp, a nice tight end a top nitch defense. This was all the Bears needed to be a contender again and they got it. Not to mention they signed former Rams OT Orlando Pace to protect the blind side of Cutler.
Cutler has the arm to deal with the windy conditions and cold weather in Chicago and brings instant credibility to the offense. I do believe that they need to get him some help in free agency since they don’t have a 1st or 3rd round pick this year so they now need to go after a Torry Holt to solidify the offense.
Question: Did they give up too much for Cutler?
Answer: I say no, if this was the Lions making this deal, I would have said yes its too much because the Lions need help everywhere and can’t afford to send all those picks to the Broncos for a QB. But for the Bears, they really don’t have alot to fix on their team so I say it worked out just fine for the Bears.
Denver Broncos:
The Broncos now have picks #12 and #18 in this year’s draft and a first round pick in 2010. In my opinion, they need a running back and defense in this draft and now that they have two in the first round, they could draft a guy like Chris Wells or Knowshon Moreno and pick anyone on defense like Penn State linebacker Aaron Maybin, USC linebacker Clay Matthews or FSU defensive end Everette Brown to help on defense.
Although the Broncos may not be sold on Kyle Orton and could go after USC quarterback Mark Sanchez. If they want him, they will have to trade both of those first-round picks or a first and a third to someone to get Sanchez because he will not drop past pick #10 in the draft this year.
Question: Is Denver better off without Cutler?
Answer: No, they are not better off without him. I don’t know any team that is better off with out a Pro Bowl quarterback in their lineup. PERIOD!!!
Did the Bears give up too much to get Cutler???
Is Denver better off without Cutler???
