Raiders Fire Head Coach Tom Cable

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Oakland Raiders have fired head coach Tom Cable after three seasons at the helm in Oakland.

Schefter stated that the Raiders would not “pick up the option in his contract” and will look for another head coach for the 2011 season.

Cable’s debut season ended at 4-8, his second season he improved by one game going 5-11 but this season he was able to finish the season with an 8-8 record and at one point was in the running for the AFC West Division Title.

We all know Al Davis’ motto “Just Win Baby” and it seems that a three-year stint at 17-27 is not enough winning for Davis.
