According to Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune, veteran tight end Tony Stewart was the only surprise as the Raiders got a head start on Wednesday’s cutdown to 75 by cutting four players

Stewart played three of his nine NFL seasons with the Raiders as a reserve tight end and special teams player. He caught 21 passes with Oakland and also served as the team’s NFLPA player representative.
