Ravens Fire QB Coach Jim Zorn
According to the , the Ravens have fired Jim Zorn as their quarterbacks coach.
Zorn had a seven-hour meeting with head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron in which they questioned Joe Flacco’s development this season.
While the rest of the Ravens staff went to the Senior Bowl this week, Zorn stayed behind with Harbaugh and Cameron.
Zorn’s development of third-year quarterback Joe Flacco seemed to be in question with Harbaugh and felt there wasn’t enough improvement to keep him around.
Zorn’s departure means Flacco will have had three different quarterback coaches in his career.

I guess there had to be a scape goat. No one's going to put the blame where it belongs – on "Chockin" Joe Flacco. Zorn was responsible for Flacco improving in every statistical way possible this year. What can't be coached is how to step up in big games. Just look at the numbers for the quarterbacks who made it to the final 4. Look at the plays they made when games were on the line. Then look at Flacco's numbers. There's a pattern . The fans see it. The press sees it. I've heard several commentators mention Flacco's "deer in the headlights" look. That's why we'll never beat Pittsburg when it counts. Firing Zorn for not being able to get Flacco to step up like Big Ben shows the Ravens are in a serious state of denial. Dilfer never had the arm or the stats that Flacco has. But when it came time to step up, there was no fear in his eyes. He knew how to lead and inspire his team. Flacco's better than anyone we've had since Dilfer, but we need another leader like Dilfer if the Ravens are going to have another shot at winning it all.
