Ravens S Ed Reed Robbed; Steelers LB Harrison Wins AP Defensive Player of the Year
Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed was completely robbed out of the AP Defensive Player of the Year Award.
It seemed like every week this year you were hearing the name Ed Reed making big plays or seeing the ESPN highlights where Reed intercepted a ball and brought back for a touchdown or scooping up a fumble and returning it for a touchdown.
Not taking anything away from Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, the winner of the award, because he had a great season as well, but Ed Reed makes plays like no other defender can and will in the NFL. Not to mention his big play ability on special teams as well.
Reed led the NFL with 9 interceptions, ran back a 107-yard interception for a touchdown which beat his old NFL record of 106-yard return for a touchdown.
Whenever the Ravens needed a big play or even when they didn’t need a big play, Ed Reed made it.
Hands down, Ed Reed is the greatest big play safety the NFL has ever seen!!!
What makes even madder about this voting, is that Reed finished third in the voting. Third??? THAT’S RIDICULOUS!!!
Whoever these voters are need to wake up and smell the bacon cooking because they obviously don’t know what a Hall of Fame defensive player looks like.

I just was telling a friend today that Ed was robbed. He won that game for the Ravens on Sunday…but I’m sure his contract is filled with bonus incentives,he’ll get his.

Yes he was robbed and if not Ed Reed what about DeMarcus Ware he plays the same position and had just as good of a season as Harrison not to mention 20 sacks.
