Ravens WR Derrick Mason To Retire…Again?
The Baltimore Ravens will hold a press conference with wide receiver Derrick Mason on Wednesday, April 14 at 1:45 p.m. in the auditorium of their Owings Mills facility.
General manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh will also be in attendance for the presser.
Mason, who is the team’s all-time leader in receiving yards (4,975), signed a two-year deal with Baltimore in March. A 14-year NFL veteran, he joined the Ravens in 2005 and currently ranks second on the franchise’s career receptions (410) and receiving touchdowns (22) lists.
Having played in 202 games, Mason has totaled 863 catches, 11,089 receiving yards and 59 receiving touchdowns during his career. One of just 17 players to record 850 catches, he currently ranks 14th on the NFL’s all-time receptions list, and he is the only player in NFL history to post 5,000 return yards and 10,000 receiving yards.
