Redskins Sign Former Eagles S Macho Harris
The Washington Redskins injury-plagued secondary got a boost on Tuesday after adding formee Eagles safety Macho Harris to the roster.
The Redskins signed Harris, a fifth-round draft pick by Philadelphia from Virginia Tech in 2009. He played in 15 games, including eight starts, as a rookie but was released in September at the end of preseason.
The Redskins are again expected to be without starting safety LaRon Landry for this week’s game against Minnesota and the Redskins lost backup safety Anderson Russell for the season when he tore the ACL in his right knee in Sunday’s win over Tennessee.
