Saints S Roman Harper Signs Tender But Still May Holdout

New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper has signed his one year restricted free agent tender, but may still hold out according to New Orleans General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Harper is guaranteed to make $2.52 million in 2010, but wants a longer deal. He only signed on Monday to avoid a situation where the Saints could lower the offer to 110 percent of his 2009 salary, which would be around $600,000.

Harper is a five year veteran and a starter since his rookie season, who had 99 tackles, two forced fumbles and one and a half sacks in 2009. He has one career touchdown return.
