Saints Sign Former Packers RB DeShawn Wynn
Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune reports that the Saints have signed former Green Bay Packers running back DeShawn Wynn.
Wynn’s signing came because former Wisconsin running back P.J. Hill on injured reserve after a season-ending tricep injury on Monday.
Wynn played for the Packers the past three seasons but finished 2009 on IR with a knee injury.
Less than two weeks ago, the Saints put reserve running back Lynell Hamilton on IR and signed former Redskins RB Ladell Betts. Hill injured his triceps during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s preseason game against the Texans.
Wynn will join Betts and Chris Ivory as backups to Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush.
