Seahawks Trade WR Deion Branch To The Patriots

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Seattle Seahawks have traded wide receiver Deion Branch to the New England Patriots for a fourth-round pick.

Branch, who was with the Patriots from 2002-2005, was quarterback Tom Brady’s go-to receiver and helped lead the team to two straight Super Bowls sparking an offense built primarily on the passing game.

After a contract dispute, Branch was traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a first round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft which was used on Patriots pro bowl safety Brandon Meriweather.
