Commissioner Roger Goodell was ready to suspend Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork for his illegal hits over the past few seasons until a DVD by the Patriots video department was given to Goodell by Wilfork’s wife Bianca. Wilfork did admit to Goodell that a hit on Buffalo Bills quarterback J.P. Losman was a cheap shot but the hit on Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler in their game two weeks ago was the hit in question.

The alternate angle DVD showed that Wilfork may not have hit Cutler in the head and Cutler was even seen patting Wilfork on the helmet right after the hit. Goodell came to the conclusion that it wasn’t an illegal and instead of suspending Wilfork he hit him with a $35,000 fine. The Wilfork’s wrote Commissioner Goodell a thank you letter at the end of the week. That is what I call a real wife.
