Steelers QB Charlie Batch Out Six Weeks With Wrist Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch will be out six weeks because he suffered a wrist injury in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that will require surgery, ESPN.com reported today.
Batch was playing because Steelers starter Ben Roethlisberger took a knee to the helmet in overtime. Roethlisberger’s status for Sunday’s game against the Ravens is uncertain. He will undergo tests today to determine if he sustained a concussion and the seriousness of the concussion.
The third-string quarterback for the Steelers is Dennis Dixon, a fifth-round choice in 2008 out of Oregon. He has attempted one NFL pass.
