Its a shame so many people wanna blame the wife, when the wife wasn't the one cheating or creeping around with a married man. McNair is dead because he was out doing dirt, it got in his eyes! And now he's sleeping in six feet of it. His gf autopsy report came back with gun powder residue on her hand. You'd have to pull the trigger to get that sir. Stop making excuses.

The Steve McNair's incident is a worst nightmare. Reports have clearly stated that their house was up for sale and they may have been living apart. And regardless of what he may have done he didn't deserve to get gunned down like that.

I think we all are given the right to judge and my hope is that Steve will be remembered and also forgiven, but remembered for what he did and what he meant. My hope is that we can get past the circumstances and let those go and dwell and stay focused on the type of player and person that he was.

20 year old girls don't kill and commit suicide…name another case like this. Middle aged women about to lose the sugar train are INCREDIBLY NASTY and VINDICTIVE……..ask any divorce attorney how mean they can get.

I personally am so against adultery and McNair did pay the ultimate price for it. True, we all make mistakes but the kind of mistakes you make as a sports celebrity are dealt with on a completely different level. You are really being watched by the entire world so it's up to you how you live your private life. Ultimately in the life you will REAP WHAT YOU SOW!

I expect McNair's story will become partly an object lesson, and a cautionary tale. Perhaps the greatest impact will be felt in the pro athlete community, as each individual weighs the results of the choices they've made in their personal lives, and whether or not undue risks have been taken. If Steve McNair, who was seen as one of the true good guys in the NFL, can meet this kind of end, it might just happen to anyone.

I personally believe he deceived this young girl into thinking he was leaving his wife and that he was going to marry her. The wife is very capable of either having done this herself or having someone do it for her. He would have to be beating her pretty bad to pick up that gun.

I'm sure he was a good person and will be missed by many. I will be praying for his family, especially his wife. We cannot judge others, however when a person (celebrity or otherwise) places themselves in the position he did with this young woman, they cannot expect others to continue to look up to them. McNair should have been a role model for young boys, instead he has failed them and all his fans.
