Tennessee Titans Need To Start QB Vince Young

Titans quarterback Vince Young lost his starting job last year because veteran quarterback Kerry Collins was winning in Tennessee. Now that Kerry Collins and the Titans are 0-5, its time to get your money’s worth out of your #1 draft pick.
There’s no better time than now to evaluate Young than now. It’s not like you’re pulling Collins while your team is 5-0, their 0-5, they have nothing to lose, besides, the Tennessee Titans will owe Young $14.2 million if he is on the team next year and they need to find out if he’s not only the future of the franchise but if he’s worth the time and MONEY.
It’s not like he doesn’t have the ability, Young led the Titans to the playoffs in his rookie year including some huge comebacks against the New York Giants with the Giants leading 21-0 in November 2006 and one month later Young led a comeback win against the Buffalo Bills.
Young also holds the NFL record for rushing yards by a rookie quarterback with 552, breaking the old record of 408 yards set by Bobby Douglass in 1969.
He won the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of The Year honors at the conclusion of the 2006 NFL season, becoming only the third quarterback to win the award, along with Dennis Shaw and Ben Roethlisberger.Young was also named to the 2007 Pro Bowl to replace Philip Rivers whose foot injury kept him out of what would have been his first Pro Bowl appearance.
Message to Titans head coach Jeff Fisher: START VINCE YOUNG!!!

Um, was I the only one that noticed that Vince didn't do any better when he played last night? The guy is not a starting quarterback for any team. Our problems are bad receivers and bad defense (or bad defense coaching). Vince will not make any difference to this team.
Well thank you MKRob for that glorious walk down New York Giants colossal collapse in history…while making your case for Vince Young. Other than that painful memory, you're exactly correct in your opinion.
Putting Young in the game in the 4th quarter after Collins has royally screwed up any real chance at winning isn't fair to him or his confidence in developing into a decent quarterback. He should be able to start in a few games, get his feet back under him and given a legitimate shot at getting this team some wins.
Jeff Fisher's job may depend on it.
Thank you very much Khai, your comments are always welcome here at MKRob.com
At this point, it's not going to matter much, but I do agree that the Titians need to do an evaluation on whether Vince is their guy going forward. Kerry Collins sure isn't going to be. More options comes with Vince at this point. At least it will get some fans back to the stadium and they may even win a game or two.
