Texans LB DeMeco Ryans Out For The Season

Houston Texans linebacker DeMeco Ryans is out for the season with a torn Achilles’ tendon in his left heel.

Ryans was carted off the field late in the second quarter of Sunday’s 35-31 home win against the Kansas City Chiefs. Houston head coach Gary Kubiak said after the game that Ryans will have surgery in the next couple of days.

A second-round pick in 2006, Ryans entered the game with one sack and 47 tackles in 2010.
