The End of the Blake Griffin Era In Oklahoma, Maybe Not!!!
Those who follow the NBA, know that the NBA Draft includes a draft lottery that could put any of the leagues worst teams in position to get the #1 overall pick. Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin is arguably the best player in college basketball. While I believe Blake Griffin will leave the Sooner program, it’s not completely decided on him leaving the state of Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma City Thunder may get the first pick in the draft, thus keeping Blake Griffin in state, again. Griffin has never left the state of Oklahoma, being born and raised there, playing his high school and college ball in state.
For me as a fan of certain teams in sports like the Dallas Cowboys, I would love for the best players to come to my team, but as sports fan, I love to see guys stay in their home state to play in the pros.
Bottom Line: No matter who’s on anyone’s NBA roster, Blake Griffin WILL be the #1 pick in the draft and it could very well be the Thunder getting that pick.
