The NFL Chick’s Take On This Week’s NFL Topics
I really hate this time of year for the NFL. It seems like it’s in limbo, slowly moving by as we wait for the Draft to get here. The story lines are few are far between, but there are always a few new stories per week to give us NFL junkies our “fix” until something bigger and better happens.
I decided to discuss this week’s NFL Topics and give my take on them. You know…. how I feel about what’s going on. Enjoy!
NFL Topic:
NFL owners could vote in May, which makes the regular longer (about 17 or 18 reg season games) while shortening the preseason.
My Take- Good. This is something most of the players and fans wanted anyway. Preseason games are boring, and a waste of money in my opinion. You see your favorite players play for about 5 minutes, then you see a bunch of guys that most likely won’t make the team play for the remainder of the game. While you can see some potential good players get their start in the NFL, I’m usually talking to my fellow counterparts or at the nacho stand. I’m not paying much attention at this point.
I’ve always thought that pre season games should be free and given to little league programs in the team’s area. A lot of kids haven’t been to games, and this would be a great opportunity for every team to reach out to the community. But, I know I live in a fantasy world. That’s too much like right…. Everything is about the power of the dollar.

Josh McDaniels says relationship with Cutler is salvageable; Says he will be Broncos Quarterback
My Take- *yawn* I’ve had enough of this story already. This is a prime example of milking a story until it’s dry. McDaniels is still picking his face up off the ground, and Cutler’s still crying. I don’t know which is more annoying, really. I honestly hope they can kiss and make up so we can move on (yes WE. Sports bloggers are eating this story alive). But if they don’t, then trade him. Maybe they should check my blog out from last week for ideas on where he should go. Just do something, other than continuing this nonsense.
NFL Topic:
WR Terrell Owens was a no-show Monday during Buffalo’s voluntary off season conditioning program
My Take- Okay. I’m gonna defend T.O. for a sec (write this one down, cause it may never happen again). The guy is a freak of nature. He’s one of the best wide receiver’s in the game right now, if not ever. We all know that he has a great work ethic and stays in top shape during the off season. I have no doubt that he will be ready to go when training camp starts in July.
But according to some reports, T.O. advised that he would show up on Monday for the program. My only issue with his disappearing act is, your word is your word, so keep it. If you think you have better things to do, then say that. But don’t make a commitment and then break it.
T.O.’s probably in South Beach right now, sipping on Call A Cab drinks at Wet Willies all day, then doing the Stanky Leg at the Forge Lounge at night.
He’s having the time of his life right now, and isn’t ready to go to freezing, quiet Buffalo. Where would you choose to be right now: In warm Miami, doing the Stanky Leg? Or in cold Buffalo, doing activities that you can do in your sleep??? That’s what I thought. This is a non issue. T.O. will be ready when it counts.

As the Cowboys #1 stan, I co-sign. And I love the dance clip! lol
Thank ya. Can’t you see T.O. in the club doing that, though? LOL
