Titans Fire Head Coach Jeff Fisher

According to Don Banks of Sports Illustrated, the Tennessee Titans have fired head coach Jeff Fisher.

Fisher had been feuding with former Titans quarterback Vince Young throughout the 2010 season and seemed to not like Young as the Titans leader at times but it looked like it all came to a head when Titans owner Bud Adams got involved and stated that Young would be the quarterback. A few weeks later, Young was released.

With Adams deciding to get rid of Young, it seemed that Fisher had won but today proved that they both lost this battle. Fisher was with the Houston/Tennessee organization since being named interim head coach in 1994.

Fisher compiled a 142-140 record in 16-plus seasons with the Titans, including just a 5-6 mark in the playoffs.
