The Virginia Tech Hokies pull off a major upset as they defeated the lone unbeaten team in college basketball Wake Forest 78-71 in Winston-Salem Wednesday night.

The Hokies were led by guard Malcolm Delaney. Delaney had a great all-around game scoring 21 points, grabbing eight rebounds, getting three assists and two steals.

The Hokies other starting guard A.D. Vassallo and forward Jeff Allen each added 16 points to contribute to the win against the #1 ranked team in the nation.

Wake Forest guard Jeff Teague played a great game in a losing effort finishing with a game high 23.
