West Virginia QB Pat “Wildcat” White Goes To The Dolphins

My favorite player in the 2009 NFL Draft went to my hometown team the Miami Dolphins in the 2nd round and I thought was a great pick for the Dolphins.
At 6’0″ 197lbs White is considered too short to play quarterback in the NFL but I believe he can. He will be a very nice option at quarterback for the Dolphins in the future.
With the implementation of the Wildcat formation in the Dolphins offense, Wildcat White was the best wildcat quarterback available.

What people don’t realize is that White can also throw the ball, in my opinion, he throws a better ball than current Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington.
The Dolphins have taken a quarterback the last three NFL drafts with BYU’s John Beck, Michigan’s Chad Henne and now West Virginia’s Pat White.
I’m not sure if the Dolphins are sold John Beck because of the Henne and White drafting.
Those who know me, know that I do not like the Dolphins, but I am a football fan first and I love the pick of White because of his versatility at the quarterback position.
Congratulations Miami Dolphins on a great draft and a super 2nd round pick!!!
Will the Dolphins use White at another position besides quarterback???

I think he'd made a great QB. He's shorter than Randall Cunningham but that who I pattern his game after. I can't believe that teams in the NFL will try and run the wildcat in 2009.
They will run it and be successful because not everyone has a defense like the Ravens or Steelers to stop it. Now that Pat White is there, Ricky Williams may get less carries.
That is a great pick by the Dolphins. If nothing else, it gives them yet another option running the Wildcat offense, except this option has the ability to not just run but throw equally well. I'll be interested to see how the Dolphins use him, and how much they use him. After watching him at West Virginia all these years, he definitely has the talent.
I call him Wildcat White because he is the perfect Wildcat formation QB, love this pick for the hometown team!!!
