Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford has decided to stay at least one more year in Norman and forgo the 2009 NFL Draft.

I’m sorry Oklahoma Sooners fans I have to get this off my chest because someone is brainwashing these players into coming back to school for another year risking their golden opportunity to make millions in the NFL. WHAT IS WRONG WITH SAM BRADFORD???

When your name is Sam Bradford and you are guaranteed to be the #1 pick in the draft, you DO NOT pass on that opportunity.

This ranks as MKRob’s top craziest decision in college footbal history. Coming in a close second was the Matt Leinhart decision to stay in school one more year. For those who don’t know, Matt Leinhart had an opportunity to come out in the 2005 NFL Draft and be the #1 pick overall to the San Francisco 49ers, but he didn’t take that opportunity and was pick #10 overall in the 2006 NFL Draft.

After that draft Leinhart ended up losing millions of guaranteed money and didn’t even accomplish what he wanted when he went back to USC and that was to win a BCS National Championship. If you remember, USC lost that championship to Vince Young and the Texas Longhorns.

Bradford needs to grow up and move on to the NFL and stop wanting to be a baby and stay in college around his buddies at Oklahoma. Anyone who believes that he is not ready for the NFL is crazy, Bradford was the Heisman Trophy Winner and was the best NFL quarterback prospect in this draft. Whoever advised him on this, needs to lose his job.

I know the Detroit Lions have the #1 pick but you still go and make the big money, help the Lions win and prove yourself on the professional level. I guess Sam Bradford has more fun beating up on the sucky defenses in the Big 12 rather than taking the challenges of the pro game. You have nothing to lose in Detroit, you have nowhere to go but up.

I personally believe that Sam Bradford is scared to go to the NFL because he doesn’t think he’s good enough when every other NFL scout, general manager and coach knows he’s ready. Is Bob Stoops being selfish here convincing Bradford to stay so he can go after another championship? Who knows? Sam Bradford’s family must be very well off because there’s no way you turn down the amount of money he would have made if he entered the draft.

MARK MY WORDS: Sam Bradford will not be the #1 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. The chances of him going #1 are slim to none because all the teams that need QB’s will pick one this year and in 2010 no one will need a QB and the one’s that will need one, won’t have the #1 pick.

This decision was absolutely terrible and the only way I can see this as a good decision is if Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has somehow worked out some kind of deal where my Cowboys can get him to replace our sucky quarterback Tony Romo, if that’s the case then great move, but otherwise this was a dumb decision.
